Unification Update
The DCGU invests in those selected to represent the County and enhance their opportunities via coaching, matches and resources to maximise their full potential; in return all players are expected to adhere to the following agreement.
1. Player to prioritise their representation in the following order:
Country
County
Club
Personal
2. To attend ALL County training sessions, and if unavailable contact immediately your County Squad coach stating the reason for non-attendance.
3. Be available for selection for matches as listed on the County Website. If unavailable for any match players must inform the Team Managers as soon as possible.
4. At all times players agree to abide by the DCGU Code of Conduct, available on DCGU website or the County Secretary.
5. Prior to the start of the golfing season, players should produce a playing schedule and discuss this with your County Coach, the schedule to include County run events, Order of Merit and Strokeplay initiatives relevant to your playing ability.
6. Throughout the season maintain a handicap by competition play and not solely through the submission of general play cards.
7. All squad members agree, where provided, to use the County Performance programme, during practice, skill tests, and to record all playing stats. The data to be shared with the County Performance Director, County Coaches, Team Managers, plus the players technical coach to aid game improvements.
8. DCGU is Safe Golf accredited and all Juniors must have parental permission to represent the
County and complete the appropriate Parental Consent Form. Consent forms can be completed online via the DCGU website or by printing off the form and returning to your County Coach/Team Manager for retention by the County Secretary. All golfers playing in teams and events must be aware of the DCGU safeguarding polices (DGC-POL-001 and DGCPOL-002).
9. The County will provide squad players with team golf apparel and other kit which should only be used for County training and matches or as advised by County Coaches, Team Managers or DCGU Executive Committee Officials.
